Spring Mini Sessions 2024
Today is a mild Winter day here in Long Beach, NY. We are just a few short weeks away from the Spring season and I am ready for it. Spring is a busy time of year in the photography industry. Clients are looking for a portrait photographer for a wide array of occasions ranging from Communion portraits to Mommy and Me photos. I love this season because I capture a diverse range of clients and each session is unique.
I usually only offer mini sessions in the Fall for the holiday season, but decided that I would offer a Spring mini session this season in my Long Beach studio. I love the minimalist trend and created a set that was simple and classic. The set is a beautiful tan backdrop dressed with baby’s breath and a handmade wood box. I initially created the set with the vision of photographing mothers with their children, but I wanted to create a set that had a wide range of uses. Here are some of the uses of the set:
Simple Children’s Portraits Mini Session
I am not fond of school photos, so every year I find a way to capture annual portraits of my girls. I usually do so on their birthdays, but ran out of time this year. So, I decided I would use my girls to give the set a quick test run. I still haev to finish painting the box white and gather more baby’s breath, but I wanted to do a trial run before February break. I dressed the girls in simple jeans and crisp white shirts and left them barefoot to really create that simple and timeless look. I love the vibe of this set and I will definitely be hanging these images of my girls in my home.
First Birthday Mini Session
This would be a great set for simple first birthday photos without a cake smash. It can work for any birthday or milestone as long as the child can sit unassisted.
Mother’s Day Mini Session
This set also works equally well for mothers to capture photos with their little ones and can be a great Mommy and Me photo session. For those of you looking for the perfect Mother’s Day gift, a photo session is a great option. Moms can spend quality time cuddling with their little ones on this beiatiful set and I will capture an array of images of your bond with your child.
Communion Mini Session
I typically photograph Communion portrait sessions outdoors at the client’s church, but I have many clients who are looking for a simpler type of session for Communion photos. This set is a perfect option for those clients who only want photos to use on cards or to frame and gift.
Maternity Mini Session
I offer a wide variety of maternity photo session both outdoors, in clients’ homes and in my studio. This special session would be amazing for maternity photos. A maternity mini session is a great way to meet and get to know a photographer before your newborn photo session. This set works well for a casual look with the expecting mama in jeans an a white shirt or more dramatic in a soft toned gown.
