Family Photos During Your St. Augustine or Ponte Vedra Vacation

Because the best photos of your family happen when everyone is actually together, relaxed, and somewhere beautiful.

Most families don't think to book a photographer until they're already home, scrolling through blurry phone photos, wishing they had something better to show for the trip. If you're here before that happens, you're already ahead.

Booking a photographer when you're visiting from out of town feels like a leap of faith. You don't know the area, you don't know me, and you're already managing a lot of moving pieces. I want this page to give you enough to feel genuinely confident — not just about the photos, but about the whole experience of working with someone new in an unfamiliar place.

I've been photographing families in Northeast Florida for over a year and a half, and many of my clients are exactly where you are right now — coming from Georgia, South Carolina, Tennessee, or further, with kids in tow and a few precious days to make the most of. I know these beaches, these locations, and this light better than anyone, and I will take care of every detail so you don't have to think about anything except showing up.

A vacation is the Perfect Time for Family Photos

There’s something about being away from home that shifts everything just a little.

The pace slows down. You’re not rushing from one thing to the next, and your kids have the space to just be themselves. You’re more present, more connected, and noticing the small moments you might otherwise miss.

That’s what makes these St Augustine vacation photo sessions feel easy, and why the photos tend to reflect not just how this time looked, but how it actually felt.

A few things that might help you feel more confident booking from a distance:

I have been photographing families for over 13 years, and I take the responsibility of documenting something this important seriously. Every client receives a detailed planning guide before their session, clear communication from the moment they book, and a photographer who shows up prepared, on time, and genuinely invested in making the experience feel easy for everyone involved, including the kids.

You can read what past clients have said on Google, browse full session galleries on this site, and reach out with any questions before you commit to anything. There is no pressure and no obligation to inquire, and I am always happy to jump on a quick call if that helps you feel more settled about moving forward.

Most families who have booked with me from out of town tell me afterward that the hardest part was just deciding to do it — and that once they did, everything else fell into place easily.

Why Vacation photos are Different

There is something about being away from home that makes families more themselves. The to-do lists are gone, the routines are gone, and everyone is just together in a way that doesn't happen often enough. That is exactly when the photos worth keeping tend to happen.

These aren't just pretty pictures on a beach. They're a record of your family during one of the few times a year you were all fully present in the same place at the same time. Most families tell me afterward that it was one of the best decisions they made during the trip — and that they only wish they had booked it sooner.

The Vacation passes quickly, but the Photos Last forever

KIND WORDS FROM FAMILIES ON VACATION

Teresa took some family photos of us on vacation and was wonderful! Super engaged and helpful with a chaotic group full of kiddos! The turnaround time was quick and it’s full of great candid photos!

Teresa worked with us from the day of booking up until the day of the shoot to make sure everything was perfect. She has a great personality and makes you feel very comfortable in-person.

I would recommend Teresa to anyone looking for any kind of photography, she's truly a star!

— Danielle D.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about Teresa! These family photos are better than we could have imagined, and we will definitely cherish these forever. She was so patient with my daughter and really brought her out of her shell, getting us so many great pictures in a short amount of time!

Beautiful Locations for Family Photos

Northeast Florida has some of the most beautiful and varied settings for family photos anywhere on the East Coast, and choosing the right one makes a real difference in how your gallery feels.

For families staying near St. Augustine, Anastasia State Park and St. Augustine Beach offer wide open shoreline and gorgeous light at golden hour. Vilano Beach is quieter and less crowded, which makes it a favorite for families with younger kids who need a little more space to move. Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is unlike anything else in the area — ancient oak canopy, dramatic coquina rock formations along the shoreline, and a setting that feels completely timeless. Downtown St. Augustine is a wonderful option for families who want something different from a beach session, with cobblestone streets, historic architecture, and a backdrop that tells a real story about where you were.

For families staying in Ponte Vedra Beach or the Jacksonville Beaches area, the dunes along Ponte Vedra Beach and the open stretches of Neptune and Atlantic Beach are beautiful at sunrise and sunset, and Guana Beach is one of the most unspoiled and naturally stunning locations in the entire area.

I know all of these locations well — the best angles, the best timing, and the spots that photograph beautifully without feeling overworked or overdone. When you book, I'll help you choose the one that fits your family and your vision for the session.

Family Photos are the Ultimate Souvenir

You are going to look back on this trip for years. The way your kids were at this age, the way your family fit together during this particular season of life, the fact that you were all there together in one of the most beautiful places in Florida. Those things are worth documenting properly.

I would love to be the person who does that for you.
