In-Home Holiday Family Photos in Jacksonville, Ponte Vedra & St. Augustine | Holiday Family Photos 2026

Every year, families start thinking about holiday photos sometime in the fall and every year, December arrives with plenty of families realizing they never actually scheduled them.

The good news? Early December is not too late for family photos. In fact, it's one of my favorite times for an in-home family session in Ponte Vedra and Nocatee. Your Christmas tree is up, the front porch is decorated, and your home already provides a backdrop that feels personal to your family.

This December, I'm offering a limited number of in-home Holiday Petite Sessions for families who want updated photographs without adding a full photo session to an already busy month.

Why Take Your Christmas Family Photos at Home?

Your home is already part of your family's story. Instead of meeting at a traditional photo location, I come to you. We can photograph your family around the Christmas tree, curled up together on the couch, reading Christmas books, decorating cookies or simply spending time together.

By the way, your house absolutely does not need to look professionally decorated.

I typically only need one or two areas with good natural light. Your tree, a favorite chair, your children's bedrooms or even your front porch can give us everything we need.

The goal isn't a perfectly styled Christmas house. It's photographs of your family during a season you'll want to remember.

Front Porch Christmas Photos in Ponte Vedra

You don't even have to invite me inside.

If you've decorated your front porch for Christmas, it can be the perfect setting for a quick family photo session.

Front porch sessions work especially well for families throughout Ponte Vedra and Nocatee, where wreaths, greenery and simple holiday decorations can create a beautiful seasonal backdrop without looking overly themed.

They're also incredibly convenient.

There is no packing everyone into the car, driving to a location or worrying about being late. Your kids are already in a familiar environment, and we can create updated family photographs right outside your front door.

For families with young children, sometimes keeping everything this simple makes all the difference.

What If We Want More Than a Christmas Card Photo?

Absolutely.

While we'll always make sure to get that traditional family portrait where everyone is looking at the camera, your session doesn't have to stop there.

Some of my favorite in-home holiday photographs are the ones that show what this season actually looks like for your family.

We might photograph your children hanging ornaments on the tree, everyone piled onto the couch, siblings reading together, baking cookies in the kitchen or your kids running around in Christmas pajamas.

These are photographs that work beautifully for a Christmas card now but may mean even more years from now.

Because someday, your children aren't only going to notice how little they were.

They're going to recognize home.

Why Early December Is Actually a Great Time for Family Photos

By December, your home is decorated and the holiday season is really underway.

For many families, that makes December photographs feel even more meaningful than scheduling them weeks earlier just to meet a Christmas-card deadline.

And if you didn't get around to booking fall family photos, you haven't missed your opportunity.

My December Petite Sessions are intentionally short and easy to fit into a busy holiday schedule. I'll also offer a quick turnaround for December sessions, so you'll have your photographs back with time to use them for holiday cards and photo gifts.

What Is an In-Home Holiday Petite Session?

My Holiday Petite Sessions are a shorter alternative to a full family session and are designed for immediate families who want a small collection of updated photographs during the Christmas season.

We'll plan your session around your home, your family's personality and the areas that will photograph best.

Your session could take place:

  • Around your Christmas tree

  • In a light-filled living room or bedroom

  • In the kitchen while your family does a simple holiday activity

  • On your decorated front porch

  • Or using a combination of indoor and outdoor spaces

You don't need to plan an elaborate activity or purchase special props. Often, keeping things simple creates the photographs that feel most like your family.

What Should We Wear for In-Home Christmas Photos?

You have options.

If your family loves matching Christmas pajamas, this is one of the few sessions where I say go for it.

If you'd rather have photographs you can display throughout the year, choose coordinating outfits in soft neutrals, warm earth tones or other colors that complement your home's decor.

I provide styling guidance before your session, so you don't have to figure everything out on your own.

Are In-Home Sessions Good for Young Children?

They're one of my favorite options for little ones.

Home is familiar. Kids can take a break, grab a favorite toy or simply move around when they need to. We're not expecting them to stand in one spot and smile at the camera for the entire session.

I'll provide gentle direction when we need it, but there's also plenty of room for your children to be themselves.

And if we only need to walk as far as your front porch for the family photo, that's a pretty easy December outing.

Christmas Family Photos Without Adding More Stress to December

December is busy enough. An in-home Petite Session gives you updated family photographs without turning them into another major holiday production.

You don't need the perfect house. You don't need elaborate outfits. And you definitely don't need perfectly behaved children.

You just need your family, a little window light and maybe a Christmas tree or wreath.

I'll take care of the rest.

December might actually be the perfect time to take them.
