A very common question I am often asked by clients is: “When’s the best time to book our photos?”

Living in Florida means we don’t get the traditional four seasons the way other places do. However, that doesn’t mean timing doesn’t matter. Light, weather, and even the way your family feels during certain times of year can all play a role in determining when you should schedule your annual family photo session.

Here’s a breakdown of what each season looks like for family sessions in Ponte Vedra, Nocatee, Jacksonville, and St. Augustine.

Location scouting is a huge part of my job as a photographer. Over the past ten years, I searched all over the Long Island, NY for places that piqued my interest and would work well for photo sessions. I have plenty of “go to” spots, but I always love exploring new areas. Some of the locations I have discovered over the years do not require permits and those tend to be client favorites. Other locations, do require a fee and some clients do not mind the additional expense.
