Here Comes the Sun | Spring Family Session

The weather last week was dreary and it felt like the rain would never end. Finally, the clouds melted away and we were left with an amazing Spring day. It was the perfect night for my first family session of the season.  We had to reschedule this session because of the weather and, at first, I wasn't sure that the weather would hold up. Thankfully, the weather improved and I had a great time photographing this beautiful family.

The children were so cooperative and were the perfect little models; in fact, I swear that the oldest boy is heading for a modeling career. I am always a sucker for images that show emotion, especially of moms and her babies, so it is no surprise that the mother and son series of photos are my favorite from the session.  All three of the boys were so eager to hug and love on their mom.  It was so darn sweet and I always strive to capture this kind of connection in each of my sessions.   I know that parents can sometimes worry about their children behaving for photo sessions and I always tell moms not to stress.  I am a mom myself and have seen it all and I want to capture children as authentically as possible.

One of the hardest parts of the session for moms is planning the wardrobe, but this mom completely crushed it.  I absolutely love the Spring color palette that mom chose for this session, which brings the perfect pop of color to the session and has a classic and timeless look. I am kind of in love with this gallery and I can't wait to start photographing the rest of my families this season.   Here are some of my favorites from the session.
