Melissa contacted me in the winter about a first birthday session for her daughter and I was thrilled when she decided to do a family session instead. Although I love photographing one year olds on their special day, there is nothing quite like a family session. I love getting to know my families and having fun with them on the day of their session to capture the unique dynamic of their family.
We lucked out with a gorgeous sunset and beautiful weather on the day of their session, which was a welcome change from the days of dreary and cold weather. We began the with some classic and simple portraits of Miss A to commemorate her first birthday and then we moved on to the beach to have some fun. Miss T had a blast running in the sand and collecting shells and she was quite the comedian and refs,ed us with fish jokes. Once the sun began to set, we got some really magical pictures of the family. Here are a few of my favorites from the session.
