As many of you know, I offer mother and child sessions each year. These are my favorite sessions to offer because I personally know how hard it is to get out from behind our cameras and get into those photos with our children. As mothers, one of our many roles is to be the documentarian for the family and, consequently, we become an invisible presence in the annals of our children’s lives. I offer the motherhood sessions because I want every mom to have an opportunity to be photographed with her children. I know that having photos taken of you with your children is something you will never regret doing and years from now, you and your children will both be thankful to have these photos. After all, they are only little once.Read More

Pregnancy is such a special time in a woman's life and although it is draining, it is also a time when women look absolutely breathtaking. At the time, those few months may feel like they last forever, but long after your baby is born, you will realize that all went by in the blink of an eye.
To encourage my newborn clients to capture their pregnancy, I offer them the option to add on a maternity mini session. It is important to capture this time and my goal wit these sessions is to show mom just how gorgeous she is. I want moms to look back at their maternity photos and realize how beautiful they looked and how special that time truly was.Read More
t is no secret that I love to capture moms with their babies, which is why each year I offer my Motherhood session in the Spring. I focus this session on capturing images of mom interacting with their children in a natural and relaxed way.
This recent session was a thoughtful gift from my client's husband for Mother's Day. I can't think of a more meaningful and lasting gift to give a mother. The night of the session was the most perfect night. The weather was warm and the soft golden light from the sunset was spectacular.
I am excited to announce my winter limited edition indoor sessions. Although it is freezing outside, my winter session has the look and feel of a Spring day. This is not a standard mini session, but rather a special and limited session that I will offer on select days this winter. The set is a gorgeous glowing white set with a beautiful canopy tent adorned with pretty cherry blossoms and floral vines. When I originally came up with this idea for the set, I had the idea of offering it as an opportunity for moms to get pictures of themselves with their children and offering it only as a mommy and me session; however, once I built the set, I realized this would work for a mini birthday session, a six month sitter session, Valentine's Day photos, or even for beautiful and natural maternity photos. Like most of my studio work, the set has a very natural, classic, and simple look, which will allow me to create timeless images that capture your relationship with your children and your natural beauty.Read More
There is nothing quite like spending time with an old friend, especially when you get to share that time with your children. My friend Laura recently visited from North Carolina. Laura and I were college friends and lived a town away from each other post college. Laura moved to North Carolina about 15 years ago and this was only the third time we have seen each other in those years. Laura is one of those friends that no matter how much time passes, it feels like it was just yesterday that we were together. I always laugh when I am with her.Read More
