Pregnancy is such a special time in a woman's life and although it is draining, it is also a time when women look absolutely breathtaking. At the time, those few months may feel like they last forever, but long after your baby is born, you will realize that all went by in the blink of an eye.
To encourage my newborn clients to capture their pregnancy, I offer them the option to add on a maternity mini session. It is important to capture this time and my goal wit these sessions is to show mom just how gorgeous she is. I want moms to look back at their maternity photos and realize how beautiful they looked and how special that time truly was.
Originally, my client wanted to schedule one of my Monday mini sessions for just her son, but I suggested that we do a maternity mini instead. This session would allow us to get some images of her interacting with her son before baby two arrives. I am glad she wanted to be included int he photos because her maternity session is seriously making me swoon.
Mom and her son are absolutely gorgeous and there was so much love between them. We had to reschedule this session because of the weather and mom opted to reschedule the session at sunrise instead of sunset. I was elated that she was open to shooting early I the morning because I love photographing at sunrise. The light is soft and diffused and if you start right at sunrise has a gorgeous pink quality to it. Because I only schedule beach sessions at sunset, scheduling a sunrise session might be better for toddlers who tend to be cranky at 7:00 pm. I know it can be tough to shoot at sunrise or sunset, but the outcome is always worth it.
Here are a few of my favorites from the session. I can't wait to meet baby two in August.
