Do You Want to Build a Snowman? | Beach Holiday Mini Sessions

It is September, but it certainly feels like late October.  As I type this blog post, I am drinking my first Dunkin Donuts Pumpkin coffee of the season and I spent the morning refining my holiday mini session schedule.  I have already started to book my Fall sessions and today I am announcing the first in my series of holiday mini sessions.

As a children's holiday portrait photographer, I love to approach my sessions with the goal of capturing natural photos of children rather than stiff and posed images.    I love to capture a child's free spirited and inquisitive nature, so I knew I wanted to create a holiday mini session that would get the children involved in an activity.  One day while sitting at the beach watching my girls playing in the sand, I got the idea for a mini session involving a sand snowman that children could decorate.   The problem was that I can't even create a sand castle; enter my genius husband/prop man, who designed and created a beautiful snowman for my photo sessions.  If I dream it, my amazing husband can surely make it and his latest creation certainly did not fall short of my expectations.   I recently tested out my sand snowman with my girls and the session was exactly what I envisioned.  I can't wait to print these images up for my holiday cards this year and they will also look great on display in my home.

The snowman mini sessions are thirty minutes long and will be evenings in September. There will be two time slots per evening scheduled right before sunset during golden hour.  Your child can choose from an array of props to decorate the snowman, or if you have personal items you would like to use to decorate him, feel free to bring them along.  I will be photographing these sessions in more of a story telling fashion, so the session will include 12 fully edited and enhanced images.  The cost is $275 for the session time and your choice of the 12 edited images. You will choose those 12 images from an online viewing gallery of 20 images and you have printing rights to your images.   The dates for the session are:   9/16 (sold out), 9/21 (sold out), 9/24 (sold out), 10/2 , 10/8 (sold out) and 10/12.

So, in the words of Anna, "do you want to build a snowman?"  with me on the beach?  If so, contact me to book your session.  Because these can only be photographed at sunset, there will be limited availability for these sessions.  Also, I apologize if you now have the Frozen soundtrack stuck in your head.  Here are a few images of my girls in action.
